Acute Rehabilitation

Our skilled therapists use a variety of techniques to help you do this. Some of these techniques will be familiar to you, others less so. Your therapists and other care givers will talk about your care and what you can expect. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. You are the most important person on your rehabilitation team, and we know that people who take an active interest in their own care benefit the most.

Aquatic Program

Why the water? The warmth, buoyancy and gentle resistance of water offer important benefits for people who are recovering from an injury or illness, managing a chronic disease such as arthritis, or who simply need to ease back into exercise.

Audioloogy

Mills-Peninsula audiologists are specialists trained in the diagnostic assessment of hearing disorders, prevention of hearing loss and provision of non-medical rehabilitation services for people of all ages.

FallProof Program

Are you at risk of falling? Mills-Peninsula’s FallProof™ program can help. This six-week program provides one-on-one attention within a group setting. It begins with an assessment of your current balance and risk of falling. Participants progress through a set of balance training activities including identifying and strengthening your center of gravity, using all your senses to help balance, improving posture and style of walking and increasing strength, endurance and flexibility.
