The Sutter Health and Affiliate logo is an important component of branding. The specifications below apply to both the Sutter Health logo and affiliate logos.
In most cases the vertical logo is preferred, but the alternate horizontal logo may be used where vertical space is limited.

Artwork and Typeface
The Sutter Health logo consistes of the cross and facility name in Palatino Italic. The tag line or endorsement line is rendered in Helvetica. The logo may be presented in either vertical or horizontal alignment, but in most cases the vertical logo is preferred.
System Logo
The system logo uses the tagline, "Community Based, Not for Profit."

Affiliate Logo
The endorsement line should always appear aligned with the affiliate logo. The endorsement line for all affiliated hospitals and medical foundations is "A Sutter Health Affiliate." This endorsement line is rendered in Helvetica.
Preferred Vertical Alignment

Alternate Horizontal Alignment

In most cases, the vertical signature is preferred. The alternate horizontal signature may be used when vertical space is limited.
Color
The Sutter Health and Sutter Health Affiliate logo may be rendered in color (Rose/Gray), black/white or black/white reversed.

Endorsement Line
The endorsement line is an important communication tool for Sutter Health affiliates and should always appear aligned with the affiliate signature.
Medical Foundations
The endorsement line for all medical groups that are affiliated with Sutter Health Medical Foundations may either be:
- An Affiliate of X Medical Foundation
- A Division of X Medical Foundation

The Sutter Health affiliate logo and endorsement line relationship should be used on all communications materials. The relationship should remain consistent across all applications.
The size of the tagline should always be equal to the size of the endorsement line.
