    Scholarships
Mills-Peninsula offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to employees and their children:
  • Student loan forgiveness program for employees hired as Staff Nurses and Pharmacists.
  • Mills-Peninsula Scholarship Program funded by the Auxiliary and the Hospital Foundation -- scholarships for MPHS employees and San Mateo County residents who are seeking health care careers.
  • Peninsula Health Care District financial aid loan forgiveness program provides loans of up to $4,000 per school year to students admitted to accredited nursing programs. The loan is forgiven when the graduate has worked in a hospital within the District for 2 or 4 years, depending on the nursing program.
  • Sutter Scholars, a competitive scholarship program to support the college education of children and grandchildren of Sutter Health employees.

  • Mills-Peninsula’s School of Diagnostic Imaging -- the Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer) plays an extremely important role working closely with the Radiologist (doctor) to produce high-quality images on X-Ray film that are crucial to proper diagnosis and treatment.

Our School of Diagnostic Imaging was given a rare eight-year accreditation in 2002, the maximum allowed. Onces students graduate, they are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and California Diagnostic exams in radiography. Graduates can work in more than a dozen subspecialties such as MRI, CT scans, cardiac catherization and mammography.
