Mills-Peninsula's registered nurses rated us one of the select "top hospitals" in ADVANCE for Nurses magazine's first Readers' Choice survey for the areas of Northern California/Northern Nevada. Survey results were published October 22. 2007.

Voting was open to RNs who ranked their hospital in areas that matter to nurses: quality of care, organizational culture, professional development, communication and retention efforts.

Mills-Peninsula was featured in the cover story.

The magazine reports:

"From quality of care to professional development to the organization's culture, nurses who participated in ADVANCE's Readers' Choice survey said the Sutter Health affiliate is a great place to be a nurse. And the hospital is committed to working together to make it even better."

ADVANCE provided a list of 216 hospitals in the Northern California/Northern Nevada region and invited readers to rank their facility by responding on a one to five scale to 50 statements. From this list, participants voted on 56 different hospitals. Those scoring highest in each category were placed on the Readers' Choice list.

Hundreds of nurses from across the Northern California/Northern Nevada region voted in the online poll, which was available on the ADVANCE for Nurses Web site from March through July. Visit http://nursing.advanceweb.com.
