Mills-Peninsula received a three-year accreditation with commendation from the American College of Surgeons (ACoS), Sheila Littrell of the Dorothy E. Schneider Cancer Center said.

"We received commendations for quality in eight of a possible nine categories," she said.

Commendations were received in: outcomes analysis, abstracting timeframe, quality of NCCB data submission, AJCC staging, clinical trial accrual, prevention and early detection, cancer registry staff education and cancer-related improvements.
